Aurora Over the Bathing House, Howick
From £32.00
Green and red aurora fills the sky above the rocks at Howick, with the old Bathing House catching a warm light of its own on the clifftop. A quieter, lesser-known stretch of the Northumberland coast for aurora-watching, away from the busier spots further north.

Howick, on the Northumberland coast, is best known for its hall and gardens, but the shoreline below has its own quieter history - the clifftop Bathing House was built for the Grey family of Howick Hall in the 18th century. Its distance from the busier aurora-watching spots further north makes it a favourite for a clearer, less crowded view of a dark sky.
