Sunlit Valley, Cheviot Hills
From £32.00
A river threads the floor of a quiet valley as the sun burns through high cloud overhead. Nothing in frame but hills, water and a single farm track, the kind of stillness that's hard to find outside the Cheviots.

The Cheviot Hills straddle the England-Scotland border and are the eroded remains of an extinct volcano roughly 480 million years old, far older than the younger sandstone hills further east. The Cheviot itself, the range's highest point at 815 metres, gives its name to the whole range.
